SUPPORT TO UK MOD EXPERIMENTATION
Soteria supported the US company Hippo Multipower at the recent Army Warfighting Experiment 2018. The six-week commitment meant Soteria provided the maintenance, training and demonstration support on two HIPPO All Terrain Support Vehicles (ATSV) deployed on the exercise. One was fitted with the Marionette remote control system allowing it to be operated remotely and unmanned. Both vehicles demonstrated HIPPO’s payload (750 kg of cargo), terrain accessibility and exportable power. With 5 kW of electrical power (available in both 12V and 24V) the HIPPO acted as a mothership for other unmanned systems; to deploy them to the area of operation and/or to provided power/recharging. The HIPPO ATSV also provided the power (and mobility) for counter drone systems, radio rebroadcast or simply to recharge the large number of batteries required to support the dismounted operations.
